La Garriga Film Fest – Submission Guidelines 2025-2026
1. General Information
La Garriga Film Fest is an international short film festival based in La Garriga. Our goal is to promote independent filmmaking and give maximum exposure to every participating project. We celebrate creativity, diversity, and storytelling in all its forms.
2. Submission Categories
Short Films: Maximum duration of 30 minutes (including credits).
Short Scripts: Maximum length of 30 pages.
Independent Short/student: Less than 5.000 euros budget
3. Accepted Languages
We accept projects in Catalan, Spanish, English, or French.
If your project is in another language, subtitles in at least one of the four accepted languages are required.
4. Promotion and Exposure
Our number one objective is to promote your work.
Every submitted project will receive promotion on our official Instagram account.
By submitting, you grant La Garriga Film Fest permission to use:
A still frame or poster from your project.
The official synopsis or a brief description.
This content will be used solely for promotional purposes related to the festival and will always credit the creator.
5. Eligibility and Requirements
There are no production date restrictions. You can submit a project for 2022, 2020, or any other year you wish.
We don't require a regional premiere.
Submissions must be original works owned by the applicant.
6. Rights and Permissions
By submitting to La Garriga Film Fest, you confirm that:
You hold all necessary rights to the material submitted.
You grant the festival non-exclusive rights to exhibit the film/script during the festival and use promotional materials (poster, stills, synopsis) for marketing and social media purposes. In some cases, we may use a maximum of one minute of your project's footage. For promotional purposes only.
As a festival with free admission for attendees and non-commercial purposes, the festival does not pay screening fees.
7. Selection and Awards
A selection committee will review all entries. Selected projects will be notified via email.
Awards and special mentions may be granted at the discretion of the jury.
8. Festival Schedule and Organization Rights
The organization reserves the right to change festival dates, schedules, or venues at any time without prior consent from participants, if deemed necessary for logistical or organizational reasons.
9. Acceptance of Terms
By submitting your project, you accept these rules and regulations in their entirety.
